What if you want your phone to do calling, texting, and a bit of social networking? Of course then you don’t need big screen large RAM and sky-high prices of the flagship phones in short what you would be looking toward is the budget range mobile which will do all the above said task with ease keeping in view such customer HTC has launched a similar smart phone called HTC desire 300.

Now let’s have a closer look at this new budget phone from HTC

Design, Display and features

It is one of the cheapest launches by HTC in term of smart phone hence do not expect premium metal finish it body is made up of plastic which is somewhat similar to what you will find in other phones like the One X and the newly unveiled Desire 601.

The screen at 4.3 inch is bit smaller compared to Desire 601 the size of the screen is similar to HTC one mini. It has a plain design, with a large expanse of plastic on the back. At the very least it has a functional look. The front-facing speaker on the top of the phone does make it slightly reminiscent of the HTC One.

The display of 800×480-pixel resolution is quiet good for the screen size HTC has a fairly decent history of putting at least adequate displays in its budget mobiles, and it does not disappoint again the viewing angle too is quiet good and its quiet a fun to watch video and play games.

HTC Desire 300 may not use HTC Zoe, but it comes with Blinkfeed, which turns your smart phone’s home screen into a dynamic list of titles and social network updates.

OS and Hardware

HTC desire 300 run on Google Android version 4.2 of Jelly Beam it is powered by 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4processor and has hence got enough power for multi tasking the RAM is bit low (as expected of a budget phone) at 512MB the internal memory is quiet decent at 4 GB though you can extend it up to 64 GB with the help of micro SSD card. The connection option includes GPRS, EDGE, a GPS, 3G, Bluetooth and WI-FI.

Camera and Battery

The phone rear camera is equipped with a decent 5 MP camera but this one has a F/2.8 aperture and a 34mm lens and capture a quiet decent pictures and video but Don’t expect to use it to achieve photography stardom while to aid video chat there is alo a front facing VGA camera the phone can play full HD video.

Coming to battery the phone is equipped with a decent 1650mAH battery which gives a decent talk time and also a quiet decent stand by time.
